
Akachi Ngwu, RPA
Presently, Akachi is an entrepreneur, founder/CEO, Consumer Scores International Limited, a media and advertising consultancy based in Lagos Nigeria. He recently conceived, developed, copyrighted, and launched an advertising services innovation “Subliminal Cardboard Advertising” into the Nigeria advertising market. He oversees strategy, organization performance, personnel development, business development support, planning and executing organization goals, corporate positioning and stakeholder engagement, budget implementation, resource management and improvement.
Also, Akachi is an Adjunct Faculty in Marketing at Pan Atlantic University, Lagos, Nigeria as well as a PhD student in Marketing at the School of Management and Social Sciences of the University. He volunteers as faculty in Branding and Advertising with Tekedia Institute MiniMBA. He has had a remarkable and distinguished career in media, marketing and advertising ecosystem spanning out of home advertising, branding, electronic broadcast and print media at Marketing + Media, Outdoor Communications Limited, and Minaj Broadcast International respectively. In 2018, he published his debut book on media and advertising with the title; connecting with consumers:
insights engagement conversations. Akachi consults for Access Bank, Wema Bank, and Keystone Bank respectively in their monthly SME business clinic workshops where he provides coaching and business advisory services to SME business owners. He was a speaker at the inaugural edition of Keystone Startup Advantage where he presented a paper titled ‘Customer connection in the digital era: unlocking the wisdom of the crowd’.
In 2014, Akachi received the top ten business plan competition award for growing business category from the Islamic Development Bank, Jedda, Saudi Arabia in a competition that involved more than 600 entrepreneurs from across sub–Saharan African countries. The award was presented and received at Casablanca, Morocco on December 04, 2014. In 2017, Akachi started mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs in Tony Elumelu Foundation flagship entrepreneurial development program in Africa. In 2018, he successfully mentored a mentee that received the seed grant of the sum of Five thousand US dollars, USD5000.00 from the foundation. Akachi is a member of the editorial advisory board of Nigeria leading financial magazine, Financial Nigeria and also a columnist with the magazine.
Akachi has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Abia State University, Uturu and obtained his Master’s degree in Business Administration, MBA from the University of Benin, Benin City respectively. He is a registered Advertising practitioner with the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, ARCON. He has attended several professional training and courses both locally and internationally. Akachi is an alumnus of Leap Africa Business Leadership Program, BLP 2012 cohort.
His hobbies include reading, business networking, listening to music, and attending social events.
